rubey park remodel

The Rubey Park Transit Center remodel, which is currently under construction, embraces sustainable initiatives such as a green roof integrated with solar panels and a green wall system enveloping the architecture. The site design greatly improves vehicle, bus and pedestrian circulation through the elimination of barriers, bettering of sightlines, and minimization of circulation conflicts. Street trees, native plantings, and a bio-retention area filter runoff and promote storm water management, while movable seating and fresh, custom signage, create an energetic public space with fun and attractive features that enrich Aspen’s downtown environment and bus riders’ experience of the transit center.
