shadow mountain residence

The schematic design for the Shadow Mountain Residence expresses a continuation of broad planar folds from the top of the ridge to the grid of Aspen’s valley floor. The site occupies an intersection between two gestures: one lifting upward and one pulling outward into the grid. Framed planar gardens articulate the site's gestures, providing storm water mitigation along swales. The entry sequence begins with a narrow path over a ridge between two sunken gardens. The entry courtyard welcomes guests to the residence, which is itself a composition of planar gestures

the buddy program

Project Manager, Rio Crandall is excited about becoming a Big Buddy in the Buddy Program, a local non-profit organization whose mission is to empower youth through mentoring experiences in order to achieve their full potential. She and her little buddy are excited to begin their mentoring relationship – especially building gingerbread houses and seeing The Nutcracker in December!
